Pottery 101: A Crash Course for Amateurs is an introductory course designed for individuals who are new to pottery and want to learn the basics. The course covers a wide range of topics, including the history of pottery, the different types of clay and glazes, and basic techniques such as throwing on a wheel, hand-building, and glazing.

Throughout the course, students will learn about the various tools and equipment used in pottery, including the pottery wheel, slab roller, and kiln. They will also learn about the different stages of the pottery-making process, including wedging, centering, and trimming.

The course is hands-on and students will have the opportunity to practice the techniques they have learned in class. They will also have the opportunity to create their own pieces, and the instructor will provide guidance and feedback to help them improve their skills.

At the end of the course, students will have a basic understanding of pottery-making and will have created a number of their own pieces. They will also have the knowledge and skills to continue exploring pottery on their own.
